Two Oscar snubs I can't get over...
As the Academy Award nominations came out on Tuesday, I couldn’t help but feel a little upset for the movies and actors that got snubbed.
I’ll admit that I haven’t seen every film nominated, but there was really no way some of the nominations were as deserving as those that didn’t get nominated. Let me start off with the actor that I was almost 100 per cent sure to get a...

Unfollowing and Unfriending...a bad thing?
I’m starting to understand why people unfriend and unfollow.
And it doesn’t necessarily mean that the person who deleted you has something against you.
Maybe it does…but usually I don’t think that’s the case a lot of times.
I say this because I’ve unfriended and unfollowed a lot of people just because I had no interest in what they were saying, posting or...

I’m increasingly finding the blogging world very vapid and pointless. What is the point of blogging anymore? I really don’t know.
It’s not really a way to promote yourself. And honestly, I think I got caught up in that.
I feel like refraining a bit from the personal stuff (but it was never really personal) to find some meaning in my writing.

Honesty is the best policy.
I’ll admit that I am not SUPER big on fashion blogging because I find a lot of it vapid and just another way to make me feel poor for not having “nice” clothing.
But when the Man Repeller started to get popular a little over a year ago, I became an avid reader because Leandra Medine has a humourous outlook on fashion, dresses for herself and didn’t give a damn about...

In Defense of Patrick Chan
I know I haven’t been posting lately because I have been in hibernation mode for my exams. But during the time away, a lot of of news has happened. Christie Blatchford, a columnist for the National Post, decided to post an extremely sexist article on little boys hugging (I shall get to that in a later post). In addition to that, a super drunk couple was caught having sex on the TTC.

When your friends start getting boyfriends...
I’m single. And most of the time I am fine with it.
But sometimes, it can get extremely lonely, especially when your friends decide to ditch you for their boyfriends.
They’ll seem more uninterested in hanging out and will never seem to make time for you to catch up. Even if there is spare time, they’ll go and spend it with their boyfriends.
I know boyfriends are great...

Unpopular Opinion Blog. (Maybe)
After spending a week writing a nine page paper, I decided it was okay for me to take a small break before editing my feature to do a survey on…unpopular opinions!!! Who is excited?!?!
Well, here goes:
1. A selection of television programs you do not care for.
Two and a Half Men, The O.C., The Vampire Diaries, and Gossip Girl.
2. A selection of musical artists you do not care for.

I tend to get extremely bitter when it’s late. I guess I should go to bed now.
Seriously don't understand this.
It astounds me how people in my generation function. How is it the ones that have nothing good to say or no obvious desires to be a practicing member of society still manage to be so likeable to so many people?!
Why?
Am I making any sense here? Why don’t I just use Twitter and Facebook as an example.
Someone with tons of “friends” will post up something really stupid like:

Unhealthy Obsession
Very unhealthy obsession with One Direction.
I love British boys.

Almost convinced there’s no one here for me in Toronto. I should move to the UK. Or New York.
But I think the UK would be best.
Breakfast at Tiffany's.
I didn’t really like Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
So there. Sue me. Hate on me if you wanna…because I didn’t really like it.
The clothes were nice. Moon River is a good song. And Audrey Hepburn is really glamourous.
But other than that, I didn’t see the big fuss in the whole plot.
I found Audrey Hepburn’s Holly Golighty extremely irritating. If I knew someone...

Living Vicariously through Tumblr...
A recent quote from hometown boy Drake really resonated with me:
“I’m really scared for my generation, you know. The thing that scares me most is Tumblr. I hate what Tumblr has become. Because it like, it reminds me of those clique-y girls in high school that used to make fun of everyone and define what was cool, but in five years, when you all graduate, that shit doesn’t...

Being Jealous Gets You Nowhere. Nor Does Being...
I’m sorry if I don’t make any sense here on this blog post. But if you enjoy my rants, here goes:
A couple of nights ago, I went out with some friends and started talking about a few people that grind my gears for the way the act or behave towards others. Gossip is never a good thing, but at that point in time, I felt like I needed to address it. And now I regret it. No...

Flaws in Toronto's Shark Fin Ban
The banning of shark fin today in Toronto has been met with mixed reviews. Toronto city council has voted to ban the sale of shark fin on a proposal that passed by 38 to 4. If some of you are unaware of the delicacy of shark fins, they are often used in a thick, gooey soup often served at Chinese weddings. If you don’t live in the Greater Toronto Area or was just unaware of the issue,...
Things through my mind at the moment.
It’s been a while since I posted one of my stupid posts here…so here goes:
1. Decent mark on my broadcast assignment. We stayed at school until 11:30 pm…because we are boss. Nonetheless, I honestly and sincerely thought it was horrible. But my teacher thought the edited version was not the issue despite the piece being flawed. I would post an example right on this...
